Privacy policy.
Last updated: September 7, 2026
What I know now is a personal publication operated by Mokee Rahman in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains the limited information handled when you visit the site or choose to subscribe to the newsletter.
Information handled when you visit
The site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Like other web infrastructure providers, Cloudflare necessarily processes network and request information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals to deliver, secure, and maintain the site.
With your permission, the site also loads Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views and site performance. It can report information such as page path, referring site, country, browser, operating system, device type, and page performance. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies, local storage, or collect visitors' personal data. It is used only to understand readership and improve the site—not for ads, profiling, or cross-site tracking.
Cookies and your analytics choice
The blog does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you respond to the privacy banner, one first-party preference cookie named wikn_analytics_consent stores “accepted” or “declined” for 180 days. It is strictly necessary to remember your choice. Cloudflare Web Analytics loads only after you select “Allow analytics.”
You can withdraw or change your choice at any time. If you withdraw permission, analytics stops on subsequent page loads.
Newsletter information
If you subscribe, you provide an email address. Kit, the newsletter service provider, processes it along with subscription and consent records and ordinary email delivery, open, click, bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe information. This is used to confirm your request, send the newsletter, understand delivery, and keep the list safe. Subscription is optional, confirmation is required, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.
Legal grounds and retention
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, consent is used for optional browser analytics and newsletter messages. Necessary hosting and security processing is based on the legitimate interest in safely publishing and operating the site. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
The analytics preference is retained for 180 days. Aggregate analytics and newsletter records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, provider operations, security, legal obligations, and suppression of mail to people who unsubscribe. You may request deletion of information associated with your email, subject to legal exceptions.
Service providers and international transfers
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, and optional analytics. Kit provides newsletter signup and delivery. They may process information outside your province or country under their contractual and legal safeguards. Read the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Kit Privacy Policy for details.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to receive a portable copy, to withdraw consent, or to complain to your privacy regulator. The site does not sell or rent personal information, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, or discriminate for exercising privacy rights.
To ask a privacy question or exercise a right, email info@mokee.ca. Reasonable verification may be required before responding to a request.
Children, security, and changes
This general-audience blog is not directed to children under 13, and personal information from children is not knowingly collected. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
